Bluewater Maritime is a marine services company operating a fleet of domestic commercial vessels on the east coast of Australia. From its Newcastle Harbour base it runs harbour towage and workboat services for the port, a crew transfer and passenger ferry service, a line boat and mooring gang for visiting ships, and a 140-berth marina with a fuel wharf. The Eden boatyard slips and maintains vessels up to 30 metres for the company and for outside owners, and the Gladstone base supports resource industry clients with crew transfer and survey work.
The company is organised into six departments under the General Manager. Marine Operations runs the five-vessel fleet on a rotating roster with crews working seven days on and seven off, and the port services gang works a 24-hour on-call roster to meet ship arrivals at any hour. Engineering keeps the fleet in class and in survey through a planned maintenance system, the marina and boatyard operate seven days a week, and the safety, crewing and administration teams work from the Newcastle base.

Harbour towage and workboat services
Berthing and unberthing assistance for visiting ships, barge towing, buoy maintenance and general workboat tasks within Newcastle Harbour and along the near coastal zone.
Crew transfer and passenger ferry
Scheduled and charter passenger services carrying up to 60 passengers, and crew transfers to anchored ships and offshore work sites in survey-approved conditions.
Mooring and line handling
A trained mooring gang and line boat available around the clock to run lines, secure and release ships at the port's berths under the port authority's requirements.
Marina berthing and fuel
Casual and permanent berths for vessels to 25 metres, shore power and water, a diesel and unleaded fuel wharf, and pump-out and waste reception facilities.
Slipping, survey and repair
Slipway and hardstand services at Eden for hull cleaning, antifouling, shaft and propeller work, survey inspections and steel and aluminium repairs on vessels up to 30 metres.
Marine engineering and planned maintenance
Servicing of main engines, gearboxes, auxiliary systems and electrical equipment for the company fleet and outside vessels, with maintenance records kept to survey standard.
