Our departments
Six departments make up the business. Each page shows the purpose, the people, the measures that matter and the systems the team works in.
Marine Operations
Crews and operates the five-vessel fleet, plans passages and jobs, maintains watchkeeping and navigational standards, and delivers towage, workboat, ferry and crew transfer services safely within each vessel's certificate of operation.
Marine Engineering and Maintenance
Keeps every vessel in survey through the planned maintenance system, services engines, propulsion, electrical and auxiliary systems, manages defects, refuelling and spares, and supports the Eden boatyard with slipping and repair work.
Marina and Boatyard
Operates the Newcastle marina, fuel wharf and waste reception, and the Eden slipway and hardstand, manages berth bookings and visiting vessels, maintains pontoons, piles and services, and responds to marina emergencies including fire, fuel spill and person overboard.
Port Services and Mooring
Provides the mooring gang and line boat for visiting ships, handles lines at berths and mooring dolphins, operates mooring winches and capstans, coordinates with pilots, tugs and the port authority, and works within the port's security and safety requirements.
Safety, Security and Compliance
Owns the safety management system, manages certificates of survey and operation, investigates incidents and reports to the regulator, coordinates security and pollution prevention, and audits the fleet, marina and boatyard against the company's procedures.
Crewing, Training and Administration
Rosters crews to every vessel, checks certificates of competency, medicals and sea service, arranges training and drills, manages payroll, records and client bookings administration, and supports masters with vessel business and reporting.
